Games We Play
More than just Dungeons and Dragons
Table role-play games to support neurodiverse families
Dice 4 Diversity is a community where diverse is normal. Our kids love coming here because they finally feel they fit in somewhere. Their parents love sending them because they get to practice social and communication skills without even realising it.
All our games have been (or can be) adapted to make the game play element easier. Some, like our Dungeons and Dragons, and Monster of the Week (holidays only) are adventures written exclusively for Dice 4 Diversity Gaming by our dedicated team of group leaders.
Our role-play worlds
All our worlds and adventures are age appropriate, growing with you through your school years. Wherever possible you will be grouped into similar ages, and stage of adventure in your role-play game of choice. We are often adding to our worlds, trialling new adventures during our popular holiday program, and evolving to meet the needs of the families who come through our door, so keep checking back regularly.
Games we play
Dungeons and Dragons
Our most popular, and where we began. Our DND is a custom written adventure in a fantasy world. It invites you to adopt the persona of a fictional character and go on wild adventures. Working as a team, you seek to outmatch ‘the Dungeon Master’ at their own game. Adventurers can use normal D&D or our simplified version to ensure the focus is on the game, not the finding of numbers.
My Little Pony
All about making friends and good decisions. Because ‘friendship is magic’. A less combative tabletop role-play gaming option set in the world of ‘My Little Pony’
Lego Builders
Great for those who seek a more tactile activity, or looking to improve fine motor and sensory skills. Lego Builders invites you to meet a new challenge each week, collaborate to find pieces, explain your choices, and discuss your strategy.
Available using either Duplo or Lego to meet you where you are at.
Little Lego Builders ( 3-5 yrs old)
Our only offering for the really little ones, Little Lego Builders is a playgroup with a difference. There is duplo, and a planned activity, but your child is welcome whatever kind of day they are having. So are you.
Star Wars
(Holiday Club Only)
We run all three settings of Star Wars RPGs, allowing adventurers to experience the three most popular sub-genres of Star Wars. In Age of Rebellion, players work against the oppressive forces of the Empire; Edge of the Empire allows players to make a living smuggling, bounty-hunting, or thieving in an environment where the Empire is not the most dangerous authority; and in Force and Destiny players can grow from force sensitive to force user.
Avatar
(Holiday Club Only)
Create your own heroes and perform legendary deeds in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Avatar is deeply character-driven role-play game where your mind (and the Dice Gods) are your only limits.
Cooperative Board Games
(Holiday Club Only)
Face hordes of monsters, defeat them (or escape) and live to fight another day against zombies, goblins and trolls, the ultimate Kaiju and more. Or face-off against other adventurers in competitive games – Wingspan, King of Tokyo and Cut Throat Caverns to name a few.
Dead Man’s Hand
(Holiday Club Only)
Dead Man’s Hand Is a tabletop spaghetti-western skirmish game where bands of tough and wily Cowboys, Lawmen, Outlaws and Desperados fight for fame and respect in the Old West. Tabletop wargames teach tactics, strategic planning and
Lawmen, Outlaws, Tribal Warriors, Banditos and vengeful women shoot it out in dust-bowl towns in this tabletop skirmish game. Dead Man’s Hand teaches wargaming tactics, strategic planning, disaster management, resilience and communication skills – all through the lense of the classic cowboy trope.
Monster of the Week
(Holiday club only)
Low on violence, but high on investigation and drama. A monster is on the loose and your team must learn all about it, track it down, and neutralise the threat. A mythical threat but set in the world we live in.
