About Dice 4 Diversity Gaming
Social inclusion through role play
How we are different (TLDR)
Dice 4 Diversity Gaming was designed to assist neuro-diverse people. We have written a program using knowledge and experiences from a combined 60 years of living with, working with, training and supporting, representing and advocating for people with disabilities. We utilise this program in the running of our sessions to teach strategies on how to deal with society, people and social anxiety.
Dice 4 Diversity Gaming was born out of a deep understanding and love for neurodiverse children and their families.
Through observation of his own neurodiverse children, founder, and Dungeon Master, Ian, discovered something truly remarkable – the transformative effect of playing games.
Inspired by this, Ian, and his wife, Tania, wanted to share these positive outcomes with other families.
Having an idea of how challenging the life of parents of neurodiverse children can be, they wanted to go beyond sharing games; to create a nurturing community space where your entire family feels safe, accepted, and understood.
A place where you can relax and find genuine connections with others who truly comprehend your journey.
Drawing on his background as a trainer and his experience with role-playing games, Ian created modified and adapted rules for the games to support an easy understanding of the game rules and enable more focus on supported interactions within the games.
Each session is facilitated by an Adventure Guide who has the skills to teach the participants the game and to support their interactions and negotiations with other participants.
The range of programs and games offered has grown. as has the number of participants. Dice 4 Diversity Gaming has expanded to meet community needs and holds a bold vision to expand into more communities.
Dice 4 Diversity Gaming is passionately committed to fostering social inclusion through the magic of role play.

Here’s what our clients say about us. To read more feedback, head to our Testimonials page.
D4D is about more than social skills and learning; it’s a community. Ian and Tania welcome everyone with acceptance and inclusion. My son would never attend any form of ‘social capacity building’ type training, but he loves D&D. This group is a godsend. He gets to practice social skills (including acceptance of others just as they are!). I get to meet other parents who share their stories and help normalise my parenting experience. It’s more than a group for just the kids.
